Halina McCormack has been a resident of Staten Island since 1980. Born and educated in Poland, and she earned the MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, with a major in Conservation of Painting and Polychromed Sculpture. She is an art conservator in private practice and has been the painting conservator at the Hispanic Society of America, NY, since 1988. An active artist, she participated in several group shows at the World Trade Center, National Arts Club, McCormack Gallery in NY, Art by the Ferry, and in her native Poland. She is a member of the American Institute for Conservation.
